Hello Friends of Deer Lake: 

 

We have had an excellent response for attendance at the 6^th Annual Friends of Deer Lake AGM and BBQ.

 

There are about 15 members that have not confirmed their attendance, but I will continue to try and make contact between now and next week.  We will be buying in food and beverages Thursday August 28/2025 so we need to know final attendance numbers. We will have veggie burgers in addition to “regular” burgers. Salad will be served along with Hamburgers and Hot Dogs.  There will be some bowls of chips and additional snacks along with condiments.

 

Anyone wanting to donate cookies or other snack items as there will be lots there to consume them!

 

REMEMBER THIS EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE as we can move indoors in the event Mother nature doesn’t cooperate. I believe she will!!

 

BRING FOLDING CHAIRS as seating is limited.  Might as well be comfortable while we listen to what the professor has to say about the health of our lake and the dreaded Blue Green Algae.

 

Anyone with mobility concerns or issues are asked to arrive early (before noon) so we can get your vehicle parked near the door.

 

I will be posting an agenda next week. We expect the professor to start his presentation about 12.45p.m. to allow everyone to arrive!!
